[ Howl looks relieved when she rights her posture again, but it's short-lived. The topic of Estinien and his defeat to the dragoon is an overwrought topic of conversation to Howl at this point. He's been asked so many times to explain himself, and each instance is unpleasant; most recently, this very same conversation lead him to being imprisoned and tortured for a week. Although Howl no longer recalls the worst of that torture and passes off the unpleasant moments that he does remember as necessary and enjoyable in its own unique way, he's eager to put the incident behind him.
