It's a piece of what Sebastian truly is, and there was a reason that looking at the vial had felt familiar to him.
It's not anything Sebastian acknowledges, though.

It is certainly helpful if I have seen it before, but not required. The better I understand it and have a mental picture of it, the more accurate my creation is.
