I know very little of the First, a reflection of my world [he says it, and doesn't entirely offer clarification, but it's obvious from his tone that he barely understands what a "reflection" is himself] was nearly destroyed by the Flood of Light, an event that destroyed all but part of a single continent.
From what I understand, Horos is all that the people of this star know of their own world. It makes me wonder if something similar must have happened.
