Good Evening.

There are some within our ranks who we have not had the pleasure of meeting. I am Emet-Selch. Ciel and I serve as tacticians and teachers to the Kenoma.

I function as acting counsel for devising strategies. Additionally, some of you may find yourself in possession of new magical abilities that you did not have before. I am available to assist you with honing your newfound magical skills. To those of you who find yourself injured, I can provide my magic to heal your wounds so that you may be hale and whole once more.

[ He sighs. My, is this a mouthful. ]

My name is Ciel. I am versed in martial arts and am proficient with most types of weaponry. There are various means of developing melee combat prowess across Achamoth, but if you would like personalized instructions at any level, please contact me and we’ll arrange for a schedule. I can also perform magical healing along with Father Paul.

Unfortunately, We do not have much time for pleasantries. The Pleroma will soon be at our doorstep. Their goal is to retrieve their allies who remain captive inside our walls, and our goal is to lure them deep within the Citadel where we may enact our own plans. You will be provided assignments once it is closer to the promised hour. Prepare in your own way meanwhile; The Citadel is host to all manners of weaponry and the army's training grounds.

[ It’s kept a little vague and unspecific. Though they do intend to give adequate information, there is also no question that they have had traitors in their midst as of late. Everything will be doled out with due caution. Although, there will be a silent message sent to each person asking them to respond with some information of their abilities. ]

We are at war, bloodshed is inevitable. We will be attacked soon, and we must defend our keep. Consider this communion address a formal hub for discussion and organization of the battle to come. We will begin with information sharing of the Pleroma: knowing their names, appearances, and capabilities will better prepare us in dealing with them in combat. Aions may develop new abilities at any time, however; intel from the mission in Venera and Godsblood may very well be outdated by now, so do not assume anything we go over in this address as the extent of what they can do. Anything you may have witnessed at the shrines can be helpful, including other newcomers you may have met that did not return to Achamoth..

To the third wave of newly awoken Aions, it is regrettable that we cannot welcome you better, you’ve unfortunately arrived at a tumultuous time on Horos. If this is all too much for any reason, that’s fine. Contact me privately, and we can at least arrange for you to be somewhere safe during this. To those used to wielding great power, please get some practice in and verify your new limits. Becoming an Aion may have weakened you, do not let that catch you off-guard on the battlefield.

To those who are new, introduce yourselves and ask any questions you have. We will answer your questions as best we can, and I encourage our fellow Kenoma to chime in where they may. Do try to keep your questions interesting enough to be worth reading.

Of course. In fact, is there any particular type of dish or cuisine you favor? Since I have some time, I may as well appraise the kitchens and practice.

I wonder... Is it enough to share a memory? [ because sebastian sure is getting a flash of sticky honey roast right about now. ] It's not my favourite, but I am craving it at this moment.

I can try to remember the recipe, if you require it.

[ It's strange every time to get these flashes of images, of memories, but at least this is one that's more straightforward to parse through. Rather than trying to analyze someone's skillset, trying to pick out the ingredients of a dish is quite preferable. ]

Ah, that does seem quite appetizing. [ ...He guesses, anyways! ] But I think I shall enjoy the challenge of trying my hand first before using a recipe, if you do not mind! The sauce with it is... [ He trails off thoughtfully as he thinks about the memory again, but it's still a little bit of a guess. It's trying to translate one sense to another that doesn't quite map evenly. ] A sweet-savory one, yes?

It is, actually. How useful that you can tell that from a memory alone. [ at least this means sebastian is on the right track. (what else can he do? something to ponder for later...) ] I'll leave it in your capable hands.

[ time to make sure he comes back in one piece so he gets to enjoy this!! ]

I shall call it the benefit of serving an extremely disagreeable young man prior to coming here. His taste in food was quite picky, and so I learned to make a far, far too wide variety of dishes to try and please him.

[ It's said so brightly, but the passive-aggression still drips out of his words... ]

So, needless to say, his pickiness is serving others well, finally.

[ he's so amused. that passive-aggression is hard to miss. ]

Did he make you work hard in other areas too? Is that why you're so versatile?

It is part of it, yes. Granted, he did pay well for my service, so it was his right to request it...

[ But still, Sebastian sighs heavily ]

...But he also very much took advantage of it, I would say. Why, working for the Regent will be quite the improvement if I am not asked to dig through a landfill for scraps of paper, be the sole competent staff member of an entire manor's estate, or fake my own death for a nobleman's spat, to name a few things.

[ the more he listens, the harder it is to avoid laughing, but he does his best. what a nightmarish young master... ]

No, I'm fairly certain that the Regent will make full use of your skills, [ especially considering sebastian is a demon ] but I have to applaud your former master for being so creative. Faking one's death is...

I might steal that, in the future.

[ That pulls out an especially dramatic sigh, because on one hand, Sebastian was so annoyed by all of the work that went into it, but on the other hand, he very much enjoyed faking and then solving his own "murder" in disguise because the drama was just fun, honestly. Sure, innocent people died or went to prison, but he's absolutely not concerned about that part. ]

Oh, the principle of it is quite fun, but I can hardly recommend it practically, and especially so for how I was forced to play at it... Unless you are able to survive being stabbed through the heart and then having to stab yourself again later, that is. It may not have meant anything, practically speaking, but it still does not feel pleasant. And running about to maintain the illusion that I was still quite dead while also preparing everything was quite stressful, even for me.

So, my advice would be to stick to something simple. Ah, and also do not solve your own murder, since presumably you would not be in the position where you were required to play both roles.

I suppose keeping track of all those things does complicate it a little bit, but I can appreciate the meticulous planning that went into it.

Was it worth the trouble in the end?

[ ...This is actually not a question Sebastian had ever thought about. Ciel's will was his own, so once a job was done, that was that. So to look back on it now in retrospect, there's a moment's pause, before a simple: ]

Well, Mr. Doyle had been writing quite good novels afterwards.
