Good Evening.

There are some within our ranks who we have not had the pleasure of meeting. I am Emet-Selch. Ciel and I serve as tacticians and teachers to the Kenoma.

I function as acting counsel for devising strategies. Additionally, some of you may find yourself in possession of new magical abilities that you did not have before. I am available to assist you with honing your newfound magical skills. To those of you who find yourself injured, I can provide my magic to heal your wounds so that you may be hale and whole once more.

[ He sighs. My, is this a mouthful. ]

My name is Ciel. I am versed in martial arts and am proficient with most types of weaponry. There are various means of developing melee combat prowess across Achamoth, but if you would like personalized instructions at any level, please contact me and we’ll arrange for a schedule. I can also perform magical healing along with Father Paul.

Unfortunately, We do not have much time for pleasantries. The Pleroma will soon be at our doorstep. Their goal is to retrieve their allies who remain captive inside our walls, and our goal is to lure them deep within the Citadel where we may enact our own plans. You will be provided assignments once it is closer to the promised hour. Prepare in your own way meanwhile; The Citadel is host to all manners of weaponry and the army's training grounds.

[ It’s kept a little vague and unspecific. Though they do intend to give adequate information, there is also no question that they have had traitors in their midst as of late. Everything will be doled out with due caution. Although, there will be a silent message sent to each person asking them to respond with some information of their abilities. ]

We are at war, bloodshed is inevitable. We will be attacked soon, and we must defend our keep. Consider this communion address a formal hub for discussion and organization of the battle to come. We will begin with information sharing of the Pleroma: knowing their names, appearances, and capabilities will better prepare us in dealing with them in combat. Aions may develop new abilities at any time, however; intel from the mission in Venera and Godsblood may very well be outdated by now, so do not assume anything we go over in this address as the extent of what they can do. Anything you may have witnessed at the shrines can be helpful, including other newcomers you may have met that did not return to Achamoth..

To the third wave of newly awoken Aions, it is regrettable that we cannot welcome you better, you’ve unfortunately arrived at a tumultuous time on Horos. If this is all too much for any reason, that’s fine. Contact me privately, and we can at least arrange for you to be somewhere safe during this. To those used to wielding great power, please get some practice in and verify your new limits. Becoming an Aion may have weakened you, do not let that catch you off-guard on the battlefield.

To those who are new, introduce yourselves and ask any questions you have. We will answer your questions as best we can, and I encourage our fellow Kenoma to chime in where they may. Do try to keep your questions interesting enough to be worth reading.

The Regent destroyed it, just as they intend to destroy Horos. Once that is completed, they will create a new world, devoid of the corruption of this one.

He knew that his world was destroyed... supposedly... probably. He'd felt it himself, but it's such a hard concept to fully face and grasp. He'd also heard the Regent wanted to give them a do-over on the whole world front.

And when he stops being angry in such a raw and immediate way, he'll realize in a very hopeless sort of way that someone who destroys an entire planet isn't someone he can do a goddamn thing to, but hearing it now that rage is pure and unfiltered. ]

[Barnaby is silent, feeling that unmistakable rage through their communion. He'll let the boy stew on that for a second before he responds.]

...Yes. I was once angry, as you are. I was brought here unwillingly. But I understand the Kenoma and the Regent's purpose better now; in time, you'll do the same.

[Whether he has a choice in the matter... Well. That's up to him.]

[ The anger isn't abating, but for all he's acting like a clown in all of these conversations, he's not actually stupid. ]

Feel however the hell you want about 'em. I ain't interested in makin' nice. I just want this whole thing over and done with.

[ And that supposedly better world to arrive, so he can put this nightmare behind him.

Whether the people he cares about are there in the new one or not, that's something he's trying not to think too deeply about, and just delusionally assume they will be. It's easier that way when he feels on the verge of snapping all the time. ]

Then channel your anger into something productive. Focus on becoming stronger, and think of ways you can contribute.

I want this war to end as quickly as possible, too, and no doubt many others feel the same. But we all have to do our utmost to make that a reality.

[No doubt some of them enjoy battle for its own sake, or the pleasures of Achamoth, or both, and would happily see this drag on indefinitely. Barnaby isn't one of them, so he can sympathise.]

[ This is a very sensible argument that Barnaby is making right now.

It's just a shame that it's being wasted on a distressed teenager, who are not a demographic known for their calm thinking under extreme stress. ]

If alla you wanna fight so much, why not just wipe out the Pleroma quick then, so guys like me don't even have to be involved! I ain't a fighter!

If it were that simple, it would have been done already. As it is, the Regent asks for your help as much as they ask it of the rest of us, and you will be required to give it when the time comes. Whether that's through fighting or through other means is your decision.

[So while Barnaby does sympathise, he also needs to make sure Atsumu comprehends his position in all this before it's too late. Complaining about it won't change the facts.]

[ The emotional bristling right now is off the charts. ]

If I wanna help, then I'll do it! If I don't, when I won't! I don't give a damn what they're askin'!

[ He will, because talking about the Regent as a theoretical entity is different than meeting them in person, and they will put the fear of God the Regent right into him come time.

Besides, his anger isn't going to override his desperation for the proffered outcome. ]

Just take the time to calm down and come to grips with your situation. It would be unreasonable for you to accept these circumstances straight away, but I hope you will be able to help us when the time comes.

[There's little point in trying to convince him further, he decides, when these things take time. But there's also no reason to be harsh with him so soon after arrival; his understanding will come when he's ready.]

[ It's not... he knows it isn't, but he won't say it right now. He's angry, and he doesn't want to look foolish on top of everything else.

He doesn't even want to introduce himself right now, but he still grits his teeth and forces out an introduction. ]

[Neither of them are going to get much further with this discussion with Atsumu as he is now, so best to let him blow off some steam first.]
